EVAL™ resins are characterised by their outstanding gas barrier properties and their resistance to chemical agents. These two properties make EVAL™ suitable for different industrial applications where a high-quality barrier as well as chemical resistance is essential, such as chemical packaging bottles.

EVAL™ resins are used in various pipe applications in order to prevent the permeation of gases through the wall of a pipe. In some cases, it is necessary to prevent gases from migrating from the outside atmosphere into the pipe, such as with oxygen in floor heating pipe. In other cases, it is necessary to prevent gases from migrating from the inside of the pipe through the wall of the pipe to the outside, such as with fuel lines in cars or gasoline transport pipes.

In both situations, pipe with an EVAL™ layer can prevent the migration of gases in either direction. Additionally, the resistance of EVAL™ to various solvents and hydrocarbons ensures that the pipe will typically maintain mechanical integrity as swelling and deformation will be minimized in an EVAL™ structure.
