We employ environmentally friendly manufacturing practices and always seek to conserve energy, reduce emissions and ensure strict environmental compliance in order to maintain this goal. We inherited this commitment from our parent company Kuraray Co. Ltd., which established the Kuraray Group Action Guidelines on the Global Environment in 1993.

Our Environmental Policy

We are totally committed to aggressively and continually improving upon our environment; Land, Sea/Lake/River and Air that sustain our lives and future generations. We will comply with all Federal and Local governmental regulatory requirements. Where it is possible we will act to go beyond the governmental regulation to prevent and eliminate emissions, spills and waste generations at all times.

Environmental Guidelines

The Environmental Policy will be guided and enhanced by the following practices:

• Environmental Protection is a primary management responsibility and its effectiveness in improvement efforts shall be used as an important measure of his/her performance.
• Create, communicate and continually improve the Environmental Management System.
• Review and study the plant process continually, using outside resources if necessary and the latest technology that has become available, to identify and implement opportunities to reduce emissions.
• Conduct rigorous studies on the process and take steps to reduce waste generation.
• Encourage all employees to stand guard and stay alert to prevent unexpected emissions and spills.
